This is just one of the Magic: The Gathering preorders available at Amazon right now, and definitely one of the most expensive. Over $50 for a pack of 15? Damn dude. Those cards better contain actual magical incantations.
Of course, I kid and also fully understand why you'd want to spend serious money on your hobby. Amazon is a little light on the details, so if you want to understand why these packs and boosters are so expensive, you need to head on over to the official website. In a nutshell, this is "the first Masters set tied explicitly to the Commander format," and includes different variants for Jeweled Lotus, the Ur-Dragon and a whole bunch more.
Magic the Gathering Masters Commander Card Variants
The Masters Commander sets are scheduled for an August 4, 2023 release, and you can preorder them now. If the price goes down between the time you preorder and the time the sets release, you'll get them for the lowest price. In other words, if you preorder now, you'll get the lowest price during the whole preorder period.
Also up for preorder is the Magic: The Gathering Lord of the Rings – Tales from Middle-earth series, which features Frodo and all his friends from the Tolkien-verse.
