Dark Horse Direct has lately become the best source for high-end Mass Effect collectibles, including detailed replicas of the iconic ships from the games. And while the Reaper Sovereign Ship Replica sold out following its original release in 2022, Mass Effect fans are being given a second chance to add this impressive piece to their collection.
IGN can exclusively reveal the new version of the Mass Effect Reaper Sovereign Ship, which features the same detailed sculpt in a smaller size and die-cast materials. Get a closer look in the slideshow gallery below:
This ship replica again features a sculpt by the designers at Gentle Giant Studios. But whereas the original clocked in at 14 inches tall, this version measures a more modest 8 inches in height. It's also cast in a magnesium zinc alloy as opposed to the polystone material of the original.
The price tag on this new edition has also been trimmed down along with the smaller size. It's priced at $99.99, with an estimated release window of January-March 2024. The Reaper Sovereign Ship Replica Silver Edition is limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. You can preorder yours on the Dark Horse Direct website.
Dark Horse previously released the Alliance Normandy SR-1 ship replica, which itself was re-released with a metallic silver paint job. Unfortunately, both versions of the Normandy are now sold out, as are the rest of Dar Horse's Mass Effect ship replicas.
In other Mass Effect news, we have some ideas about what we want to see from Amazon's Mass Effect series.
